Words in ether drift swiftly to mind

Form in bridges where true ideas flow,

Makes our senses embrace all kind

Building knowledge as concepts grow;

Captive dreams invade imagination

How they liberate arched rainbow magic,

Emotions tunnel further into sensation,

Yet soul’s lost beauty is so deeply tragic

Precious signal moments can be few

Destiny, I have nothing else but you.

Abandoned Ariadne on Naxos Isle

Weep in vain for love has now flown,

Will brutal torn passion ne’er smile

Theseus departs, Greek gods groan;

Tragic history is forever lover’s tale

Story told since the beginning of time,

What starts in promise can soon fail

Shady dust in sorrow, once sublime

Darkened skies wash away the blue -

Destiny, I have nothing else but you.

Camels treading along hot silk route

Rubies red from Sultan’s treasure

Beguiling tune charms by pungi flute

Bardic plays in measure for measure;

These are delights in all life’s wonder

Spread out before you to tantalize,

Yet O fickle word can cast asunder

Fleeting possession of great prize,

Beware, false hope is never true,

Destiny, I have nothing else but you.

Sow the whirlwind reap the storm

Clash of thunder rent dark skies,

Be not fooled, hopes quickly shorn

The hoof clad creature traps with lies

Nightmare chases in this long night,

Running frantically from ghosts I see

Blackness descends out goes the light,

If cruel death snatches you from me

I’ll weep hell’s river, let oblivion ensue

Destiny, I have nothing else but you

Satan’s hounds tear in bloody stains

Into the landscape running gory red,

Fiery horses gallop beyond tight reins

Barren fields where all life is dead,

Brackish water kills sad dying trees

Grapes of wrath wither on the vine,

I sink in despair on weakened knees

Do not depart, you were always mine,

Open hazel eyes, let our love renew,

Destiny, I have nothing else but you.
