King FriscoI'll..

King Frisco

I'll tell you a tale,
Of a cat known well,
Whose deeds were self-indulging.
He came to stay,
In a house far away,
An attitude quite "curmudging".

Once kingdom surveyed,
The attitude stayed,
His reign came into viewing.
"I'll make them mine,
With this purr sublime.
Won't know what they are doing."

Frisco: King of the realm.
Head of the house.
Paw at the helm.
"Make them know now.
It's the reason I meow.
I'm in charge!"

As years, they went past,
His kingdom grew fast,
More him than of we.
"I'll decide when you eat,
When you laugh,
When you sleep,
Even when you pee."

Then came the day,
When his "meow" went away.
A frail king stood before me.
I swaddled him so,
(just so you ought to know)
A raspy purr, his final decree.

There are many things I've missed,
Some of longing, some gist,
But of this, I tell you truthful.
Never man, known of beast,
Could experience such peace,
As this wondrous, loving armful.

Frisco: King of the realm.
Head of the house.
Paw at the helm.
"Make them know now.
It's the reason I meow.
I'm in charge!"
