There really is no good

reason for us to fight,

or even a reason to

treat each other with spite

We could just bring

this fight to an end

and once again call

each other a “Friend”!

So, I will leave that

decision up to you,

If you say “okay”,

then I'll say it too!

Or we could even

not bother to try

and just leave our talk

laid out collecting flies

Just know that if we

both let it go that way,

there could well be Hell

and a Piper to pay!

So, how about we take this tact,

we could just exchange fact.

Instead of putting on an act,

let us just make this pact.

Maybe we could just

go with tit for tat

or quid pro quo

or Kit for Kat.

Maybe we could just

use a little vis a vis,

I do for you and

you do for me?

I can answer your questions

and you can answer mine,

who knows what but that

we might get along just fine

I can give you my opinion

and you can give me yours,

then both of our opinions

will be laid out on the floor

We can have an intelligent exchange

and both feel a nice sensation

as we read each other's words

in a friendly conversation
